2018 New Year Message from Managing Director of the Company
Assalammualaikum wrt. wbt.
Happy new year to all of you.
I hope we celebrated the start of 2018 in good spirits with family, colleagues and friends. Now that we are heading with more confidence! It is great to look ahead and think about what the year 2018 may bring us.
But first, a quick look back of 2017 which had made all of us proud of our achievements despite of several challenges. Four (4) major achievements in 2017 had further proven company’s capability in managing and providing smart solution to solid waste issues in Selangor.
The taking over of sixty (60) areas for public cleansing services in Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK), the taking over of forty-four (44) areas for domestic waste and twenty (20) areas for bulk waste in Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS), the taking over of forty-six (46) domestic waste areas as well as the taking over of fifty-two (52) areas of public cleansing in Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ) in 2017 had marked significant achievements for the company. I wish to extend my deepest and heartfelt thank you to all parties, in particular the Selangor State Government, stakeholders and my dedicated team members for their kind co-operation and effort in making these company’s KPI’s achieved.
Our commitment in ensuring the services provided by the Company been operated in good hands and in professional ways and adhered to the international standard had also been proven when the Company had successfully been certified with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001: 2015 for the quality management system and environmental management system respectively. In fact, we are in the process of obtaining new certification of ISO 18001 or Occupational Health & Safety System (OHSAS). Personally, I am so grateful and proud of this achievement because in less than two (2) years in operation we managed to obtain the ISO certification. Again, thank you to all my superb dedicated team!
The most significant achievements for the Company is the statistic in public complaints against the domestic waste collection has shown at an average of 95% drop recorded in the three (3) participating municipalities i.e. Klang, Selayang and Ampang Jaya. For this purpose the Company had invested some budget for the establishment of Centralized Command Centre (CCC) to manage and resolve public complaints as well as the implementation of i-Clean Selangor application to lodge and receive public complaints.
This year we have planned to take over few more domestic waste collection and public cleansing services from few municipalities in Selangor. Few municipalities have been identified and kick start meetings have been arranged with them and will be continuing the series of discussions and negotiations in year 2018.
With these exercises the Company has also be prepared to invest in the new more assets i.e. high technology compactors and armrolls (Roll-on-Roll-off) vehicles) for domestic waste collection and public cleansing services. This is our commitment to the State in improving the cleanliness of Selangor!
On behalf of the Company, I would also hope that the usage of our i-Clean Selangor application to lodge complaints on waste collection and public cleansing services, been increasingly used by the public in Klang, Selayang and Ampang Jaya. We want to see more public is accessible to this application so that it is fast and easy for them to divert their complaints on waste collection and public cleansing.
Though year 2018 and years ahead will bring us to more challenges that require our hard work, dedication and commitment, I do believe by working together, keeping focused and putting the priorities, the Company will be able to strengthen its footing and succeed in achieving its goal.
