Indeed, these taking over exercise of waste management in Selangor requires a full focus, dedication, patience and high commitment from the whole team members of KDEB Waste. I am so glad that all my KDEB Waste team members had given full commitment and support to ensure the taking over exercise are carried out smoothly. Another significant and meaningful achievement is the company involvement in the recycling business activities. KDEB Waste with his JV Partner, Forcebel Waste Management Sdn Bhd have established a Material Recovery Facility (“MRF”) situated in Meru Klang, Selangor. It has been in operation since December 1, 2018. The establishment of MRF will benefit both the company and State of Selangor in the long run business. Besides, it will save the environment this business is expected to give competitive return.
Exploring the bio-diesel business based from plastic, is one of the KDEB Waste initiative that will soon be implemented. KDEB waste is currently studying the business model and identifying the suitable JV partner to proceed with this business.
As the leading company in waste management industry in Selangor, we in KDEB waste fully aware and realize the challenges that will be facing in 2019. Increasing of waste generation in Selangor in particular, is expected to be reaching up to 7,000 ton per day. KDEB Waste has prepared suitable capacity of our garbage compactor trucks, mini compactor trucks and armroll to transport the municipal waste to the landfill. Therefore, KDEB Waste is in support with the Selangor State initiative through its subsidiary company to establish the Waste to Energy Plant (“WTE”) to manage the waste at the landfill in more smart and systematic approach.
We are also will work hand in hand with all Municipalities and stakeholders to fight against the illegal dumping sites in Selangor. Regular monitoring shall need to be carried out and stringent regulations and law shall be imposed to prohibit this illegal activity.
